All coaches are required to be fully accredited by U.S. Figure Skating and many have succeeded in coaching students through regional, sectional, national and international competitions around the world.

History

The Skating Club of Boston was founded in 1912. A rich history in figure skating and over 100 years of skating instruction experience has solidified Skating Academy as the premier ice skating school in New England.

Diverse Curriculum

Skating Academy is proud to offer Basic Skills and Free Skate lessons, advanced Bridge programming, camps, clinics and performances to introduce skaters to every style and type of ice skating activity.

Community

Skating Academy is proud of its history of giving back to the greater Boston community through its “Skating in the Schools” and Therapeutic Skating programs. Students also participate in The Skating Club of Boston’s annual ice show, benefiting local organizations and nonprofits.

National Organizations

The Skating Academy follows the curriculum from Learn To Skate USA with class instruction endorsed by both U.S. Figure Skating and USA Hockey.

 

In the last year, Skating Academy taught 3,730 lessons and offered 380 classes to skaters from 104 towns across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
