Boston Campus
Daly Rink – 4 Nonantum Road, Newton, MA
The Daly Rink was built in 1966 by the Massachusetts Metropolitan District Commission (MDC); coincidentally, 1966 was the first year Bobby Orr played for the Boston Bruins. Rinks of similar design were built in Charlestown, Dorchester and Cleveland Circle. After 44 years of providing virtually outdoor ice, the rink was enclosed in 2010 to afford our skaters an extended season and a more comfortable skating environment. The Daly Rink is owned by the State of Massachusetts/DCR and managed by Newton Country Day School.
Due to facility upgrades and repairs at the Boston campus, classes for the upcoming session will begin in late October.

- Registration will close five business days prior to the first class at each campus location
- Classes will include 25-minutes of instructional time and 25-minutes of practice time. Please keep in mind that instruction and practice may be either during the first 25-minutes or the second 25-minutes which is determined by level.

Snowplow Sam
This is where it all begins! These classes are designed to help children six and younger develop the ABCs of movement – Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed. The ABCs are essential for developing fundamental movement skills and physical literacy. All classes will be taught in a safe and positive environment, incorporating fun and games making class time an enjoyable experience for all. Learn More
Basic Skills
Fun, goal-oriented program for beginners, children (age 4+) through adults. Skaters will receive Basic Skills instruction following the Learn to Skate USA curriculum endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating and USA Hockey. Basic Skills sessions offered: Snowplow Sam, Basic Skills, Pre-Free Skate through Free Skate 6, and Adults at all levels. Learn More
